Eat To Beat Depression

Harnessing the Power of Food to Boost Mood

  Enroll in Course

“I’m so much less intimidated by my depression and feel that I have the power to change my mood”

I’ve worked with so many patients who have been struggling with depression for years…

… and others who are facing it the first time, just getting acquainted with the weight of illness.

They’re experiencing the downward spiral of negative beliefs and thoughts that reinforce each other over time.

You may be familiar.

Maybe you’re not getting any joy out of things you used to love, even small things like a piece of chocolate after dinner…

… and then you end up beating yourself up over not enjoying them anymore.

Or maybe you’re noticing self-defeating thoughts arising when your phone is next to you on your bed, filled with messages from your friends and family...

… but you don’t have the energy, willpower, or desire to respond to them.

Or maybe you have the empty feeling of “what’s the point” of nearly everything.

It’s a punishing disease...

… which is why you’ve worked so hard to beat it.

Maybe you’ve tried solid treatment tools like exercise, therapy, or medication, but you haven’t gotten yourself back yet.

And sometimes, the more we try, the more hopeless it seems.

Thoughts start swimming in your head:

“This is who I am.”

“It just comes when it comes; I have no control.”

“I’ll never beat it.”

Let’s put a pause on this for a second, alright?

Because here’s the thing, although depression is really complex.

… you can beat it.

There is a way.

And I’m going to share it with you.

But before I go on, I’ll acknowledge that if there’s one thing I’ve learned from working with my patients, it’s that they hate a cheerleader who shouts empty encouragements.

But I’m not cheerleading.

I’m not blowing smoke.

What I’m about to reveal is an evidence-based solution to depression which humans have known about for centuries.

“Let thy food be thy medicine, and thy medicine be thy food.”

Hippocrates, 431 B.C.

The food you eat every day directly impacts how your brain functions and is capable of significantly improving or worsening your depression, just like medicine.

In fact, eating the wrong foods can double your chances of depression…

… while eating the right ones can reduce your chances by 50%.

If you’re not using food to fight your depression, you’ve got a powerful tool in your toolkit just waiting to be called upon.

Your brain is begging you to feed it.

B12. Zinc. Iron. Fiber.

When your brain starts getting enough of these nutrients, that cloud of depression can start to fade.

The hollowness and hopelessness that pervade every moment begin to lose their grip.

The feeling that you’ll be like this forever gives way to a feeling of real hope that you’ll get better.

Because you will.

When you eat right, your brain starts working with you.

You have more energy.

You become more resilient to stress.

And you start feeling happiness break through those clouds of depression.

So when patients say things like:

“Dr. Ramsey, I’m interested in what you’re saying. I think it will help, I’m just not sure how. I barely have the energy to get myself out of bed and into the shower. How can I start eating new foods and cooking, too?”

I tell them I understand.

There are ways to start eating better that work with your depression.

Baby steps that empower you to do more.

Steps that give you more energy and make you capable of doing more each day.

In my practice, I’ve spent years working one-on-one with patients to help them overcome their depression through food.

But my impact was limited by the number of hours in a day.

Working as hard as I possibly can, I can only see a few hundreds patients a year…

… but there are 16.1 million people suffering depression in the United States alone.

That’s 6.7% of the adult population who could be helped if they understood a few key principles of brain health.

This is why today I’m opening the doors to my program Eat To Beat Depression.

Based on the latest science connecting food choice and mood, Eat To Beat Depression is a first of its kind online program that turns you into a brain food eating machine, giving you every tool you need to eat to feed your brain and beat your depression.

In this program, you’ll learn everything you need to know about brain food, broken up into five core modules.

Module 1 welcomes you to the course, reveals the connections between food and mental health, and introduces the concept of “food joy.”

Module 2 is all about the science of food and depression. You’ll dig into the studies that prove this connection and give you the information you need to empower yourself to start making healthier choices.

Module 3 is where you learn all about the key nutrients for your brain health. If you’re going to eat to beat depression, you need to know which nutrients help you do that. With this module alone you’ll learn enough to set out on your own, using food to fight depression. But we’d never do that to you.

In Module 4 we build your game plan. You get introduced to the major food groups you’ll need on your journey (like leafy greens, seafood, and grains). We provide some recipes you can try out and offer baby steps about how to start incorporating these foods into your diet (especially if you think you hate them… we deal with patients who hate specific food groups all the time… don’t worry, we’ve got you).

Module 5 is where we bring it all together, and you become a brain food superstar. This module provides you with all of the of the tools, tips, and techniques to make sure you build sustainable habits that help keep depression at bay over the long run. This includes things like goal setting, kitchen hacks, easy meals, and takeout options.

But those are just the summaries.

This course provides so much more, including:

  • The REAL superfoods that can change your life around, one meal at a time (finally, we’ll clear up what you should be eating and what you shouldn’t, outside of the noise of the media)
  • How you can change your mental health through your food at any moment, no matter how long you’ve been eating like you are now
  • The power of food and how it explains why Christopher Columbus created “vampires" in Italy
  • The TRUTH about eggs (once and for all, you will know the real nutritional value of eggs)
  • Why seafood is the most potent food for fighting depression (and how to incorporate it even if you HATE seafood right now)
  • Kitchen hacks that will make you a ninja in the kitchen (even if you think you can’t boil water)
  • The creamy mac n’ cheese recipe that will make your brain jump for joy (eating to beat depression doesn’t mean eating boring, tasteless foods!)
  • Why certain nutrients should never be consumed in pill form if you want your body to absorb them and use them to fight depression
  • Ideas for mouth-watering desserts that must be part of any plan for beating depression (that’s right, dessert is required!)
  • How beans, nuts, and seeds are key to brain health, and how you can incorporate them to not only improve your mood but even lose weight (if that’s what you want)
  • The key to planning your meals for the week so you don’t have to think about what you’re eating every day
  • And much, much more

Hundreds of patients have already seen incredible results from this program. Here are just a few:

“Dr. Ramsey presents the course in a most personable way. He rattles off a wealth of information in an effortlessly well thought out communication in layman’s terms. It was actually fun.”

“I’m so much less intimidated by my depression and feel that I have the power to change my mood.”

“After taking the course, I see food as more enjoyable and engaging, as opposed to something that is stressful and should be limited.”

“I used to sleep 21 hours per day, now I have a normal sleep cycle. It's like night and day.”

There are just some of the results from participants.

And now’s your opportunity to join them.

If you want to learn simple ways to incorporate brain-boosting foods into your diet, for yourself OR for your family, now is the time to act.

While one-on-one treatment in a psychiatrist's office can cost thousands of dollars, this program won’t even cost $1000.

I want to make this program as affordable and accessible to as many people as possible.

For just $397, you get:

  • 3 hours of video lectures and 12 handouts that give you step by step instructions for helping you change your diet into a depression-fighting machine
  • 16 brain-boosting superfood recipes that are so easy and so delicious, once you learn them, you’ll feel ready to audition for your own cooking show

Now, everything we’ve discussed so far gives you the tools you need to build an unshakeable food foundation for beating depression.

But I don’t want to end there.

When you sign up today, I also want to throw in 4 bonus videos for you, to make sure we’re covering every possible scenario.

In Bonus #1 you’ll learn how to eat to meet the nutritional demands of pregnancy. Clinical post-partum depression affects 11-20% of women or about 600,000 women per year. This bonus will help you use food to avoid that.

Bonus #2 is all about mindful eating. When you become aware of not only what you’re eating, but the situations and emotions that compel you to eat, you’ll develop a new sense of appreciation for the food you put in your body.

If you’ve read this far and thought, “Well this is all well and good, but it could never work for me with my allergies,” the next bonus is for you. Bonus #3 is all about food allergies. From gluten insensitivity to nut allergies, in this module, you’ll get the information you need to adapt Eat To Beat Depression to your personal needs.

And last but not least, Bonus #4 gives you the truth about alternative medicines. In this world of alternative and herbal remedies, there is a lot of hype from marketers trying to make some cash, but there are real solutions out there that scientific support. In this module, we walk through some of the most powerful solutions for fighting depression.

Now, those are 4 additional bonuses on top of the 5 core modules of Eat To Beat Depression.

At this point, you should have everything you need to make a decision, but I want to make this a no-brainer.

There’s a reason to be skeptical about anyone telling you they can help improve your mental health.

I hold that same skepticism.

That’s why I want to give you a 30-day, no questions asked, money back guarantee.

All I ask you to do is go through the program, try the foods I recommend, implement a few of the simple swaps, and make a few of the recipes.

Stay consistent with it for a few weeks.

I think you’ll find that the impact of the foods you begin eating spreads across every aspect of your life.

You may have more energy.

You may sleep better.

You may feel happier.

Or less irritable.

You may feel more in control.

Or even more hopeful.

Maybe you’ll have all of these at once.

But if you don’t find any of these benefits, and you feel like this program isn’t working for you, just let me know, and I’ll refund your money, no questions asked.

I created this program because I’ve seen how powerful food is in improving the mental health of people with depression.

Hundreds of people have used the advice in this program to turn their lives around.

This guarantee is my vote of confidence that it will work for you, too.

But the doors for this program close at 11:59 pm on Saturday, March 24th.

Once they’re closed, I’m not sure when I’ll open them again.

So if you’re fighting your own battle with depression, or have someone close to you who is, I ask that you have faith in your brain’s ability to heal and give this program a shot.

You are what you eat.

And because you make new choices about what to eat every day…

… you’re always empowered to make yourself a healthier, happier person.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t think I’ll ever beat my depression. Will this actually work?
Depression is a complicated puzzle, with many different pieces and lots of people telling you where to put each piece. But what we’ve found is the food piece of the puzzle isn’t even on the table. The truth is, there are no magic bullets out there. It’s a process. When I’m working with my patients, the moment they accept this truth is often the moment their recovery truly begins. But food can catalyze incredible changes in your life. Food gives you energy. Food brings you joy. Food builds confidence. While depression is a negative spiral where things seem to pile on top of each other and drag you down, food is the opposite. It’s a spiral of positive change that builds upon itself, making each change easier than the next, producing incredible life changes no one could predict (not even me).
I barely have the energy to feed myself now, how can I possibly take this on?
That’s the thing about depression. Even the simplest tasks are impossible challenges. But what’s amazing about food is that it tackles this challenge head-on. Food is energy. When you eat right, you discover a renewed reserve of energy you can call upon to not only continue eating better, but to also take better care of yourself and those around you. It’s part of the positive spiral I talked about above.
Do I replace my medicine with food?
Something I tell my patients over and over again is that food is medicine, but medicine is also medicine. When you first get started with Eat To Beat Depression, it’s a life-changing tool to add to your arsenal in the fight against depression, but it’s not a replacement for medication or therapy. I have seen proper nutrition and regular exercise replace medications for some people, but this isn’t what I like to focus on. Complete treatments and full recovery is our goal and in this fight, food is much more powerful than most people give it credit for. Note: Always talk with your physician before making any changes to your medication regimen.
I already eat healthily, will this course still help me?
Absolutely. This course is specifically designed to teach you how to eat for your brain, which is a different approach than various other nutrition programs out there (although this course does help with weight management, if that’s important to you). I also find that with all of the confusion created by the media, there are a ton of healthy foods that most people avoid because they think they’re unhealthy, and a ton of unhealthy foods that people eat because they think they’re healthy. This course clears that up.
How much time do I need to invest into this program?
This program is designed to be consumed in bite-sized chunks. Anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours a week should be plenty of time. And once you enroll, you have access to the entire program for life. I like to think of it this way - although you’ll be investing some of your time into the course, getting your life back from depression is worth it.
Is it really risk-free?
Really really. I’m so confident Eat To Beat Depression will have a positive impact on your life that I want you to try it for 30 days. If you go through the program and try out the foods and recipes I recommend, and you don’t see a change in your mood or energy levels, I’m happy to give you a refund. The program is not a magic bullet, and it’s not a replacement for therapy or medication, but I know that it can work wonders. I’ve seen it happen time and time again, and I’m confident it will work for you, too. So that’s that. The doors for Eat To Beat Depression are open until Sunday at 11:59pm. After that they’re closed and I’m not sure when I’ll be opening them again, so now is your opportunity. Give it a shot, and see if your mental health improves. If not, you get your money back. I’ll hope you’ll join us. See you inside.
